The Galaxy

The Galaxy was a monthly magazine of "entertaining reading", published in the mid-19th century.

Publication History

The Galaxy began publication in 1866, under W.C. and F. P. Church, as a bimonthly. It went to monthly publication in 1867. In 1868 it was taken over by Sheldon and Company. In 1878 the magazine ceased publication, and was absorbed into The Atlantic.
