Publication History

This journal can trace its roots back to the Journal of the American Geographical and Statistical Society, which began in 1859. Its immediate predecessor was the Bulletin of the American Geographical Society, which ran until 1915. This journal took over in 1916, starting again from volume 1. The first copyright-renewed issue is July 1938 (v. 28 no. 3). The first copyright-renewed contribution is from July 1947, © July 1, 1947. (More details) It is still published today.
