Publication History

The Germ began publication with the January 1850 issue. It ran for 4 issues, ceasing publication with the May 1850 issue. The complete run has since been published in book form.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1850: The Rossetti Archive has all four issues, scanned from original printings and from a reprint.
• 1850: A Project Gutenberg book includes the text of all four issues, but not the illustrations.
• 1850: A class page at Virginia currently links to text and illustrations for the first three issues, taken from the same source book as the Gutenberg edition. (Links to the fourth issue did not work at this writing.)
