Publication History

The first volume in the Harvard Oriental Series was published in 1891. Volumes 22, 23, and some later volumes have not been published. The first copyright-renewed issue is 1944 (v. 38). • 1891-1905, 1918-1916, 1921-1926: HathiTrust has volumes 1-9, 11-21, 24, and 27-30 freely readable online. Access to some volumes may be restricted outside the United States. Some later volumes may be searchable but not readable online here.
• 1906: We list volume 10, "A Vedic Concordance" by Maurice Bloomfield.
• 1912: We list volume 15, "Bharavi's Poem Kiratarjuniya", edited by Carl Cappeller.
• 1920: We list volume 25, "Rigveda Brahmanas" translated by Arthur Berriedale Keith.
• 1926: We list volumes 26 and 27, "Vikrama's Adventures", edited and translated by Franklin Edgerton.
