The Home Journal

The Home Journal was a newspaper published in Winchester, Tennessee in the 19th century.

Publication History

The Home Journal began in 1857, succeeding The Winchester Weekly Appeal, which had the same owner and editors. The Home Journal was known as the Winchester Home Journal in part of 1857 and 1858, but then reverted to its original name. Publication was suspended during the Civil War when Union troops occupied the town. The Home Journal ran until 1896, when it merged with the Franklin County News to form the News Journal.
