Household Words
Household Words was the name of a weekly literary magazine edited by the well-known writer Charles Dickens in the 1850s. The name was revived for the journal edited by his son, Charles Dickens Jr. in the 1880s. (There is a Wikipedia article about this serial.)
Publication History
Household Words began publishing in 1850. From 1850 to 1855 it was accompanied by a monthly supplement, "Household Narrative of Current Events". In 1859, Household Words ceased publication when Dickens went to a new publisher to start "All the Year Round". In the 1880s, Charles Dickens, Jr., revived the "Household Words" magazine, and the new incarnation ran until 1905 (presumably under other editors in its later run, as the younger Dickens died in 1896).
