ICRU Report

ICRU Report is a series of reports on radiation science, radiation medicine, and radiation protection issued by ICRU.

Publication History

The ICRU was founded in the 1920s initially as the International X-Ray Unit Committee. Its name shifted over time, eventually becoming the International Commission on Radiological Units, and then officially shortened to ICRU. Its first publication in the Report series was issued in 1927 in the British Journal of Radiology. Report numbering was applied retrospectively to this report and later reports beginning in the 1960s. Some later reports were published as National Bureau of Standards Handbooks, in the journal Radiology, or in the Journal of the ICRU. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) Reports continue to be issued today. Issue numbers do not always follow order of publication.
