The Illustrated London News

The Illustrated London News was a long-running illustrated newspaper (and later news magazine) based in London. (There is a Wikipedia article about this serial.)

Publication History

The Illustrated London News began in 1842 as a weekly (which it remained until 1971). An American edition, with its own volume numbering, was published from sometime in the 19th century at least as far as World War I. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) It ceased publication in 2003, and its assets were eventually bought by an online content marketing agency.
