The Providence Independent was a newspaper published in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania in the 19th century.
The Providence Independent began in Trappe, then part of Upper Providence Township, in 1875. It moved to Collegeville in 1883. In 1898, after Collegeville had been incorporated as its own borough, it was renamed The Independent.
