Indian Notes was a journal published by the Museum of the American Indian, Heye Foundation, New York.

Publication History

Indian Notes began in 1924. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) Publication was suspended from 1931 through 1971, and resumed with volume 8 in 1972. The latest issue we know of was published in 1978. The Museum was transferred from the Heye Foundation to the Smithsonian Institution in 1989, and became the National Museum of the American Indian.
