Infantry Journal began in 1904 as the Journal of the United States Infantry Association. Its name changed to Infantry Journal (continuing the earlier journal's volume numbering) in 1910. No active issue copyright renewals were found for this serial. The first actively copyright-renewed contribution is from January-February 1939. (More details) It ran until 1950. The United States Army Combat Forces Journal picked up where this publication left off.
