The Inland Printer was an American trade journal for the printing industry, based in Chicago.

Publication History

The Inland Printer began in 1883. No issue copyright renewals were found for this serial. The first copyright-renewed contribution is from May 1957. (More details) In 1958 it merged with the American Printer and Lithographer, and went through a series of name changes that ended with "The American Printer" (which was also an earlier name of the publication it merged with).

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1884: The Museum of Printing has volume 2, number 2, dated November 1884.
• 1885-1922, 1924-1926: HathiTrust has volumes 3-29, 31-33, 35, 37-69, 74, and 76, scanned from various libraries. Some later volumes are searchable but not readable online.
• 1889-1895, 1900, 1902-1928: HathiTrust also has volumes 7-14, 25, 30-32, 34-42, 45-48, and 50-81, scanned from the University of Michigan. Some later volumes are searchable but not readable online.
