International Abstract of Surgery began 1913, with volume numbers aligned to its parent journal. (Therefore, the first volume is 16.) 'Abstract' became 'Abstracts' later in its run. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) International Abstract of Surgery ran as a separate journal until 1963, after which is was directly incorporated into its parent.
