Journal of Comparative Legislation and International Law began in 1896 as the Journal of the Society of Comparative Legislation. A second series began in 1899, and a third in 1919. The journal's name shifted over time, consistently being 'Journal of Comparative Legislation and International Law' around 1920. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) In 1952, it merged with the International Law Quarterly to form the International and Comparative Law Quarterly, which is still published today.
