The Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease began in 1874 as the Chicago Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease. It adopted its current name in 1876. The first copyright-renewed issue is December 1960 (v. 131 no. 6), © February 13, 1961. The first copyright-renewed contribution is from August 1936 (v. 84 no. 2).
