Publication History

Journal of the Straits Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society began in 1878, and ran under that name until 1922. In 1923 it was replaced by the Journal of the Malayan Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society, reflecting a change in the branch name. The present-day successor is the Journal of the Malaysian Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society.
