Publication History

Kritische Vierteljahresschrift für Gesetzgebung und Rechtswissenschaft began in 1859 as the merger of Kritische Ueberschau der Deutschen Gesetzgebung und Rechtswissenschaft and Kritische Zeitschrift für die Gesammte Rechtswissenschaft. A second series began in 1895. Publication slowed and the stopped during the second World War, but resumed in 1986 with a third series. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. (More details) The journal continues today, now with the additional official English title "Critical Quarterly for Legislation and Law".

• 1859-1922: HathiTrust has the first 56 volumes. Access to volumes after 1898 may be restricted outside the United States. Some later volumes may be searchable but not readable online here.
• 1859-1919: The Max-Planck Institut für Europäische Rechtgeschichte has the first 54 volumes.
• 1859-1880: JSTOR also has volumes 1-22 freely readable online. Access to later issues here may require subscription or payment.
• 1925: HathiTrust has volume 57 free to read online. Access may be restricted outside the Uinted States.
