Transactions of the Linnean Society of London

Transactions of the Linnean Society of London was a scholarly biology and natural history journal published by the Linnean Society of London.

Publication History

The Linnean Society began in 1788, and published the first volume of "Transactions of the Linnean Society" in 1791. "Of London" was added to the title beginning in volume 7. The years below represent the years the papers of each volume were reported as read, or when the volume was published; there was some chronological overlap between some volumes. The original series ran 30 volumes until 1875, when two new series in botany and zoology succeeded it. The Linnean Society still published successors of those series, along with a biological journal.
