The Literary Gazette, also known as the London Literary Gazette, was a journal published in London in the 19th century. The full title varied somewhat over time. (There is a Wikipedia article about this serial.)

Publication History

The first issue of The Literary Gazette was datelined January 25, 1817, and titled The Literary Gazette and Journal of the Belles Lettres. A new series began in 1858, though overall issue numbering was also used starting in 1860. The last issue under this title was published in 1862. It was succeeded by The Parthenon, which ended in 1863.
