Library of Congress Catalog: Motion Pictures and Filmstrips was a compilation of catalog cards issued by the Library of Congresss in the mid-20th century for motion pictures and filmstrips.

Publication History

The Library of Congress started issuing cards for motion pictures and film strips in 1951. They began to be published in their own catalog issues, apart from other types of media, in 1953. The first annual compilation (for 1953) was published in 1954. Quarterly issues and annual cumulations continued until the early 1970s. 5-year subject indexes were also published as part of the National Union Catalog.
