The Panola Star

The Panola Star was the short title of a newspaper published in Panola County, Mississippi in the 19th century.

Publication History

The Panola Star began in 1856 initially as the Southern Star, but became The Panola Star later that year. It was renamed The Weekly Panola Star began in 1857, and The Panola Weekly Star in 1882. A special Daily Panola Star ran during the local annual fall fair in 1871 and 1872. The Panola Weekly Star appears to have ceased publication in 1886.
