Papers From the Tortugas Laboratory of the Carnegie Institution of Washington was the series title of a number of monographs and edited volumes issued by the Carnegie Institution in the early 20th century. It was part of their larger Carnegie Institution of Washington Publication series.

Publication History

The first publication using the Papers From the Tortugas Laboratory of the Carnegie Institution of Washington title was issued in 1908. After 6 volumes, the title changed to Papers of the Department of Marine Biology of the Carnegie Institution of Washington for volumes 7-24. The Papers From the Tortugas Laboratory of the Carnegie Institution of Washington title resumed in 1928 with volume 25. Volume 35, the last volume in this series, was published in 1942. Some later volumes used 'Papers from Tortugas Laboratory' as their series title.
