Philosophy of Education

Philosophy of Education is a publication of the Philosophy of Education Society. (This Society is based in the US, and appears to differ from the Philosophy of Education Society of Great Britain.) The full title of the early yearbooks seems to be Proceedings of the [nth] Annual Meeting of the Philosophy of Education Society, later streamlined to Philosophy of Education [year], and more recently simply Philosophy of Education.

Publication History

The Society was founded in 1945, and seems to have started meeting then. A yearbook has been published at least since 1958, and possibly sooner. The Society, and the yearbook, continue today.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1996-present: The Philosophy of Education website has volume 52 and later free to read online.
• 1992-2003: An earlier yearbook archive, harvested by the Wayback Machine, had complete contents of yearbooks as well, going somewhat further back, in HTML and PDF. Let me know if any important articles got missed in the harvest.
