Minutes of the Presbytery of Orange

Minutes of the Presbytery of Orange was a long-running publication of proceedings of meetings of the Presbytery of Orange (or Orange Presbytery), a group of Presbyterian churches in North Carolina and its vicinity. The exact title varied somewhat over time.

Publication History

The Presbytery of Orange was founded in the late 1700s. It became part of the Presbyterian Church in the Confederate States of America in 1861, and then the Presbyterian Church in the U.S. after the Civil War. That denomination merged into the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in 1983. The Presbytery of Orange was absorbed into the Presbytery of New Hope in 1988. The Minutes were published over most of the Orange Presbytery's lifetime.
