Publication History

The Prison Mirror began in 1887. Its title has alternated over time between the Prison Mirror and The Mirror; to our knowledge, it currently has the longer original name. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial. It is still published today.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1887-1894: Chronicling America has volumes 1-7 of the Prison Mirror.
• 1894-1923: Chronicling America also has many later issues punlished as the Mirror.

• The Minnesota Correctional Facility - Stillwater web site does not appear to have copies of the mirror, but has more information about the prison and its inmates.
