They were obtained by W. Noel Sainsbury, indexed (at least initially) by A. S. Salley, and published by the Historical Commission of South Carolina.
36 volumes of Records in the British Public Record Office Relating to South Carolina were published between 1928 and 1973, covering the years 1663 to 1782. No copyright renewals were filed for these volumes, and I am not aware of copyright notices in the volumes currently viewable online. The dates shown below for volumes indicate the years of coverage, not the years of publication.
