Compte Rendu du Congrés Annuel

Compte Rendu du Congrés Annuel is a collective name for the French-language official minutes of the annual congress of the Belgian Labour Party (known during the time of the volumes listed here as Parti Ouvrier Belge in French, and Belgische Werkliedenpartij in Dutch). The minutes are indexed by the Library of Congress under the French name of the party's post-World War II incarnation, Parti Socialiste Belge.

Publication History

The Belgian Labour Party was founded in 1885, and held annual conferences until Nazi occupation in the 1940s shut the party down. After World War II, members of the former party leadership formed the Belgian Socialist Party (Parti Socialiste Belge/Belgische Socialistische Partij). It split along linguistic lines in the late 1970s.
