Quarterly Journal of Microscopical Science is the original name of a British microscopy and microbiology journal now known as the Journal of Cell Science.

Publication History

Quarterly Journal of Microscopical Science began publishing in 1853. A new series began in 1861. Ownership was transferred to the Company of Biologists in the 1940s, which renamed the journal to the Journal of Cell Science in 1966. (That journal is listed separately.) It is still published today.
