Report on the Administration of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands was an annual report to the United Nations on the US-ruled Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands.
The Pacific Islands Trust Territory was set up by the United Nations in 1947 from islands taken over by the US during World War II. An annual report to the UN on their administration was first issued by the US Navy (starting in 1948), and then by the US Department of the Interior after they took over from the Navy in 1951. The title of the report has varied somewhat from year to year. Reports continued into the 1990s, when Palau, the last island with Trust Territory status, gained full sovereignty. The various parts of the Trust Territory eventually became Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the US commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
