Seattle Post-Intelligencer is an American news publication based in Seattle, Washington. (There is a Wikipedia article about this serial.)

Publication History

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer traces its routes back to the 1863 founding of the Seattle Gazette newspaper. The first use of the Post-Intelligencer name was in 1881, when the Seattle Daily Post and the Daily Intelligencer merged to form the Daily Post-Intelligencer. The newspaper was renamed the Seattle Post-Intelligencer in 1888. "Seattle" was removed from the title in 1914, and returned in 1921. Print publication ceased in 2009, but the publication continues online as SeattlePI.
