The Editor, "the journal of information for literary workers", was an American bulletin reporting on markets for writers, published in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Publication History

The Editor began in 1895. It appears to have continued into the 1930s, but does not appear to be published today. No issue or contribution copyright renewals were found for this serial.

• 1896, 1898-1900, 1903-1904, 1918: HathiTrust has selected issues from volumes 2, 4, 7-11, 17, 19-20, and 48, scanned from the University of Michigan. Volumes 7-8 may be mis-dated as from 1878; they are actually from 1898.
• 1896-1897, 1900, 1905-1910, 1912-1917, 1919-1920: HathiTrust has volumes 4-6, 11-12, 22-32, 35-38, 40-42, 44, 43, 46, and 51-52, scanned from the New York Public Library.
• 1913-1918, 1920: HathiTrust has volumes 38-40, 42-44, 46, 48, and 53, scanned from the University of California.
• 1914-1923: HathiTrust has volumes 39-42, 45-49, and 51-63, scanned from the library of Princeton University and elsewhere.
