The Survey
The Survey was an American magazine on social and political issues published in New York in the early and mid 20th century.
Publication History
The Survey began in 1909 as a successor to "Charities and Commons", continuing its volume and issue numbering. Special monthly "Graphic" issues were published beginning in 1921, and a separate Survey Graphic magazine spun off in 1933. Afterwards, some issues of The Survey itself were titled Survey Mid-Monthly. At the end of 1948, Survey Graphic re-merged with Survey Mid-Monthly, and the combined magazine published as The Survey once again from 1949 until 1952. No issue copyright renewals were found for this serial. The first copyright-renewed contribution is from January 1950 (v. 86 no. 1). (More details)
