Trench and Camp was a multi-edition World War I-era newspaper for US Army personnel, with common content produced by the National War Work Council of the Y.M.C.A. of the United States, and local content produced in cooperation with local newspapers. The edition featured here was published by the Charlotte (NC) Observer, for soldiers in Camp Greene.

Publication History

The first issue of the Camp Greene edition is dated October 8, 1917. It ran at least until December 1918, and probably ceased publication then or shortly thereafter.
