Calendar of State Papers, Colonial Series was a series of volumes summarizing British government documents on its colonies in the 16th through 18th centuries that are held by the Public Record Office.

Publication History

Calendar of State Papers, Colonial Series was published in 45 numbered volumes plus an addendum volume. Most of the volumes covered America and the West Indies, but five of the first 10 volumes covered the East Indies, China, Japan, and Persia.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1860-1969: British History Online has volumes 1, 5, 7, 9-45, and a 1688-1696 addendum, covering America and the West Indies from 1574 through 1738. The volumes were published between 1860 and 1969.
• 1862-1892: British History Online has volumes 2-4, 6, and 8, covering the East Indies, China, Japan, and Persia from 1513-1634. The volumes were published between 1862 and 1892.
• 1860-1939: HathiTrust has volumes 1-40 freely readable online. Access to some volumes may be restricted outside the United States. Some later volumes may be searchable but not readable online here.
