Publication History

U.S. News and World Report began in 1948, with the merger of The United States News with World Report. The new publication continued the United States News volume numbering. The first actively copyright-renewed issue is June 8, 1956 (v. 40 no. 23). The first actively copyright-renewed contribution is from November 28, 1952. (More details) Regular publication of the print magazine ended in 2010, but the publication continues online. We are not aware of active copyright renewals in the issues linked below. (The issue numbering in some the links below is based on logical sequence; most issue scans we have examined give a volume number but not an issue number.)
