United States Reports is the official record of the decisions, orders, and opinions of the United States Supreme Court.
United States Reports began in 1790, retrospectively covering cases as far back as 1754. The first 90 volumes were prepared by private Supreme Court reporters, and went by various names. (The first 4 volumes, by Dallas, also included Pennsylvania court cases.) The title "United States Reports" was first used in the 91st volume, but the title, and the volume sequencing, is retrospectively applied to the entire series. It is still published today.
