La Vie Ouvrière is the original name of a French leftist political journal.

Publication History

La Vie Ouvrière began in 1909 as an anarcho-syndicalist bimonthly. Its original phase ended with the outbreak of World War I in 1914. After that war, it continued as a Communist journal. A current magazine "Nouvelle Vie Ouvrière" continues as a successor.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1909-1914: HathiTrust has what appears to be the the full run of the pre-World War I phase of the journal.
• 1940-1944: Gallica has many issues from the World War II phase of the journal, published in Nazi-controlled France. I am not certain about this phase's US copyright status.
