Publication History

Wild West Weekly began in 1902 as a 5-cent novel series. In 1927, Street and Smith acquired it and turned it into a pulp fiction magazine. It was published as "Street and Smith's Wild West Weekly" from 1931 to 1943, and then as "Street and Smith's Wild West" with lower frequency before ending later that year. The first actively copyright-renewed issue is January 5, 1929 (v. 38 no. 2). The first actively copyright-renewed contribution is from August 6, 1938 (v. 121 no. 4). (More details)
