Publication History

The Yale Review began publication in 1892, picking up where the New Englander and Yale Review left off. A second series began in 1911. The first copyright-renewed issue is Autumn 1934 (v. 24 no. 1). The first copyright-renewed contribution is from Summer 1929 (v. 18 no. 4). (More details) It is still published today.

Persistent Archives of Complete Issues

• 1892-1928: HathiTrust has all 19 volumes of the first series, and volumes 1-17 of the second series. Volume ordering may be somewhat random.
• 1928: The Internet Archive has volume 18, number 1 of the second series, dated September 1928, scanned from microfilm.
• 1928: The Internet Archive has volume 18, number 2 of the second series, dated December 1928, scanned from microfilm.
• 1929: The Internet Archive has volume 18, number 3 of the second series, dated March 1929, scanned from microfilm.
