I am quite ambivalent about SLIFT. I had read it would interest King Buffalo aficionados. I started then listening before buying and only this release seems to me akin to King Buffalo but much less refined. The other releases are to me, big walls of sound. Not my preferred rendition of loud music. Different mastering could do the trick but I guess people like narrow dynamic ranges these days.

Highly recommend this album. Very well put together 4 long jams, with the vocals really complimenting the music. Whole album has a great flow. Saw them at Desertfest Berlin 2025, very good live.

Atmospheric and unsettling, it feels much more sinister and foreboding than “Ummon” but no less brilliant of a journey.
