There is a sense of solitude in OSLO TAPES’ compositions which makes it easy to imagine them as interstellar jam sessions between cosmonauts, each in their own isolated space capsule.
I am quite ambivalent about SLIFT. I had read it would interest King Buffalo aficionados. I started then listening before buying and only this release seems to me akin to King Buffalo but much less refined. The other releases are to me, big walls of sound. Not my preferred rendition of loud music. Different mastering could do the trick but I guess people like narrow dynamic ranges these days. fravasquez
