Shogun – Discmania kills the game in a ton of ways and their Active line is no different. The Shogun of the Active line is a great feeling beaded putter that is perfect all over the course. It holds a dead straight line in the circle and is perfect for all those point and shoot shots. Grab a Discmania Shogun today!
Discmania says this about the mold: “Shogun, the first ever beaded putter available in Active Line. Designed to withstand a good amount of power, this deep putter provides a comfortable ergonomic feel and reliable flight when thrown off the tee and for putt/approach. The Shogun will provide relatively straight flight patterns with very minimal low speed fade, allowing it to withstand moderate wind resistance with point-and-shoot accuracy. The Active plastic is the perfect balance between keeping the disc firm as well as soft to the touch meaning the disc always feels comfortable and natural in the hand.”

You get what you pay for. Not stoked about the base plastic and the large bead.
Plastic dents easily but grabs chain

I love the feel of this putter. Has enough grip to keep you from sliding to far out if you miss, but enough slip that it’s not sticking to your fingers on release. It’s become my go to putter.
I am a novice player and what I like about this putter is that it is grippy in my hand and in the chains.
Nice feel for a putter, more on the soft side for my liking. But I’m sure some will like it.
Love the grip just playing with new putters I like it but it will probably become a practice putter for me.
Serviceable putter that has a similar feel as a Roach or Whale. If you’re wanting to try a new Discmania putter mold then I’d recommend looking into the Logic first. Pretty floaty and a somewhat deep putter, much more so than the Logic. Not a fan of the bead, but obviously there are folks who love beads so YMMV.
The Active line as a whole is a disappointment compared to the NEO line IMO. It’s unfortunate that the company offloaded production to not one, but two overseas countries however with how little of the Originals are being produced it appears to have worked out in the short term. Long-term, I see no reason to throw anything from the Active line once production is back to normal and players can support plastic made in the states. I think the NEO line has staying power though as that Swedish plastic is top notch.
