TRASBORDO Wine – Cabernet Franc Gran Reserva

A wine that inhabits the space between what’s left behind and what’s yet to come.

TRASBORDO was conceived as an exercise in deep identity. It’s neither a starting point nor a final destination—it’s the liminal stretch in between. That quiet place where something shifts, and nothing will ever be the same. The label captures this moment with a restrained, timeless, and symbolism-rich aesthetic.

Concept & Narrative

Inspired by the image of the ferryman crossing uncertain waters, the design embodies both inner and outer journeys. The name “TRASBORDO” distills the idea of change—of physical and emotional transition. Light serif typography carries contemplative, almost poetic lines such as “Some people arrive to stay. Others only so you can take the wrong train,” inviting the drinker not to toast, but to reflect.

Design & Execution

Printed on heavyweight cotton paper with a pronounced texture, the label conveys artisanal quality and permanence. Cold foil stamping in deep blue and blind embossing create a layered visual hierarchy, while the central illustration—a custom engraving in a classic style—anchors the narrative visually.

A distinctive curved die-cut at the top and bottom edges adds shelf recognition and evokes old nautical charts and historical documents, reinforcing the idea of a voyage.

Brand DNA

TRASBORDO is more than a wine—it’s a moment suspended in time. From high-altitude Gualtallary grapes that thrive in extreme climates to the deliberate graphic concept, every element is crafted to convey that change is not only inevitable, but can be an act of beauty.
