Pale World is the alias of Joe Parkes, one of the UK's most exciting noise artists and an Outsider Art mainstay to boot. I first became aware of this project due to his excellent tape on Trust Collective.

His work evokes a certain nostalgia, drawing comparison to familiar artists from the early aughts (Oscillating Innards, Impregnable, Pedestrian Deposit. etc) due to it's heavy use of lush ambient intro's and outros that frame the more prominent assault of dense, fast, dynamic Harsh Noise.

Pale World is set to perform at Feedback and Frustration Fest in February alongside knifedoutofexistence, Plague Mother and Cremation Lily. Not to be missed if you are in the area!
