Ch. #96 Top Picks: Voting Open Dec. 13 to Dec. 20/21

WELCOME TO THE CHALLENGE #96 POP TOP!

Hello folks! I hope that your Path this past week has included a number of positive moments along the route and that you and your families are all doing your best to stay healthy and happy.

Sorry that I have yet to publish the winner announcement. I'm still working on it. As I mentioned during the start post for this month, my father was in the hospital diagnosed with covid. While my father was released this past Wed., my mother was admitted. It was inevitable that she develop it as well. I spent the last few days desperately trying to convince my father to call an ambulance and head back in as he has progressively gotten worse since his release. He finally relented last night and it was a good thing, as he was considered critical this morning. My mother has become worse as well. As a result, most of my time is spent dealing with this current crisis.

I did have some time yesterday to get this post ready but unfortunately, I just didn't have the time or energy to frame the top picks like I typically would. Other than that, it is time to present the top picks from the last challenge. Just a reminder that we will not be having a winner announcement for Challenge #96 as it was simply for fun. We'll simply be having a Top Picks which we're posting today.

Since we had 22 awesome entries in Challenge #96 (click HERE to see the original challenge with the theme of BE GRATEFUL), it is time to get on with showcasing the seven projects and/or write-ups that touched the team the most. In case you are new and wondering why seven and not the typical three, four or even five? Any time that we have more than 14 entries, we have a top seven (with 14 entries or under we just have a top three). We always strive to be a bit different over here on the Path of Positivity and this is just another way to do so. Additionally, seven is a spiritual number and thus right in the wheelhouse of the vibe we are looking to project; so, seven it is when enough people join in.

Thus, without further ado, please let me introduce you to the Top Picks for Challenge #96

Ch. #96--Opt. Twist: Be GRATEFUL...Midway

Hey folks! Welcome back to the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog! It is the third Monday of the month and that means that it is time to present the midway for Challenge #96. Before we start, I just want to say that I hope that each of you continue to stay well in your own little communities across this world.

As we are a unique kind of challenge blog, it is important for you to understand how things work. Please be sure to check out the START POST FOUND HERE for the specific details related to this month's challenge, and you can find out all the general details you need to know in order to participate, by clicking on the 'Challenge Details' tab (located at the top of the blog). For your convenience, a summary of the most important rules can now be found in the right sidebar under the heading 'General Rules'.

Right now, it is time to continue with our midway. Here is a refresher of the details for our current twist:

Challenge #96

Optional Twist: Be GRATEFUL

As we continue this year's goal to encourage you to usher more positivity into your life, for our OPTIONAL TWIST this month we are looking for ways to share GRATEFULNESS! It’s a great time of year to concentrate on what we have and the happy times we have experienced in our lives. It is a wonderful way to remind ourselves how positive life can be! Although times may be challenging right now, there will be good times again. In the vein of being grateful for what we already have in our life, there will be no prizes for this challenge. It will just be for fun!

To help inspire you further down the path of being GRATEFUL, check out the wonderful projects my Design Team had the opportunity to create. Clicking on each team member's name will take you to their blog where you can check out the details for their inspirational creations.

Thanks again to my fabulous design team! As always, each of them have their own exceptional approaches and concepts which impress me to no end. Each of these creations has demonstrated the theme of being GRATEFUL admirably and I hope we have encouraged you throughout this challenge to come up with your own piece of handiwork. Be sure to go and visit these talented ladies so you can see just how their projects tie in to the twist.

Why not join us, if you haven't entered already? Create a project and/or post that is positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature and join our link up. How about stretching yourself by also opting to follow the twist?! While it isn't mandatory, we'd also love to find out how this month's twist affects your own life. There is so much to be grateful for in our lives. Even when things are difficult and you are not  feeling all that thankful, there is always something, even if it is small, that you can be grateful for. It is the perfect season to be expressing gratitude especially for those of you living in the USA with Thanksgiving approaching at the end of the month. What are you GRATEFUL for in your life? Do you practice gratitude on a daily basis, maybe keep some sort of gratitude journal? How do you express your thanks to the important people in your life? You can write a sentence or two in the body of your post, write a sentence at the bottom of your post next to the link up for this challenge, or simply leave a comment on this post if you'd like.

Also, I know that the participants would love for you to go and pay them a visit. Remember we're creating a Path of Positivity to follow one project at a time and we'd love to see you somewhere on that route even if it is just by leaving a comment on an entry from someone who has touched you somehow with their project and/or post! You can find our list of participants and enter our latest challenge yourself by clicking HERE and scrolling down to the bottom of the post.

Don't Forget...

You have until 11:59 p.m., ET, tonight (Nov. 15), to vote on your favourite entry for Challenge #95. Voting is quick, easy and painless so I hope you will consider casting your vote if you haven't already. Winners for challenge #95 will be posted on the last Monday of this month, Nov. 29th, if everything goes according to plan. You can find the Top Picks post HERE.

Design Team Delights for Challenge #32--GRATEFULNESS

It is time to share our favourite entries for Challenge #32.  As always, in each challenge you, the readers, get to voice your opinion by voting for your favourite and so it is only fitting that my Design Team get to do so as well.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to join along our Path during the month of November for Challenge #32Check out the entries that really caught our attention...
Chriss--chosen by Monica (this is Monica's official last duty with the team)...

Here is what Monica had to say:
"My DT Delight is Chriss. It was a reminder of the sacrifices not only our military make for us, but their families as well. Such a beautiful endearing card."

To see the details of Chriss' creation and read more of what she had to say click HERE.
Diane--chosen by Katrina and Pat...

Katrina said this:
"My DT Delight is Diane.  Everything about this card is beautiful from the grateful sentiment to the lovely textures! I want to "case" this card! ;)"

This is what Pat had to say:
"My DT Delight is
also Diane H's card. Her use of die-cutting the burlap candles and then using a Snow Pen to create a covering of glistening snow is awesome!"

To see the details of Diane's creation and read more of what she had to say click HERE.
Jo Ann--chosen by Desíre...

Here is what Desíre had to say:
"My DT Delight is Jo Ann.  I Just adore the vibrant colours and endearing couple on her card."

To see the details of Jo Ann's creation and read more of what she had to say click HERE.
Donna E.--chosen by Suze and Julie...

Here is what Suze had to say:
"My DT Delight is Donna Ellis. I love how the scallop shapes continue throughout the card in the dies, lace, etc. The image is also beautifully coloured."

Julie had this to say:
"My DT Delight is also Donna Ellis. I love the rich, Autumn colors of her card, her detailed and easy to follow tutorial, and her attitude about gratefulness."

To see the details of Donna's creation and read more of what she had to say click HERE.
Vickie O.--chosen by Lisa (that's me)...

My DT Delight this time around is Vickie O.  The sentiment on the front of her richly coloured and beautifully designed card states, "A Season to be Thankful".  A seaon to be thankful for indeed!  While Thanksgiving and Christmas are both good times to reflect back and be thankful, it is also important to remember that we need to show our gratitude for the wonderful gifts in our life, throughout all seasons.  We also need to remember to be thankful for the many things that we often don't think about or simply take for granted.  Vickie says it succinctly,
"After going through any type of hardship, we may feel blessed when the difficulty is over, or even just better.  But what if there are no obvious hardships?  I see what is happening around the world and feel gratitude for things like safety, freedom, and living in a land of plenty.  I see someone with a terrible illness and my own ailments seem insignificant. Yet, I'm constantly aware of the fact that there is so much more for which I should be thankful than what I actually verbalize to others and to God."
As a new year unfolds, don't forget to continuously verbalize your gratitude for ALL the gifts you have been given.

To see the details of Vickie's creation and read more of what she had to say click HERE.

Creative Congratulations to all of you!

Thank you to everyone who played on our Pathway during the month of November.  As always we greatly appreciate you sharing your incredible talents with us.

For our DT Delights chosen for this challenge...

Chriss, Diane, Jo Ann, Donna and Vickie

You are all entitled to one image of your choice from our on-going sponsor...

If you are familiar with the Creative Bug Digital SnapShots store, PLEASE NOTE THAT THINGS HAVE CHANGED.   Unfortunately, the website is no longer available.  As such I created a page on the originating blog that lists all of the images available.  Please click HERE to check out the image previews.  I have tried to arrange them into general categories.  Due to the nature of some of these images, they have been repeated in certain applicable categories.  Be sure to click on the watermarks to bring them up into the lightbox for better viewing.  Once you've made your decision, please send me the name of the one image you want and let me know which section it came from.

Additionally, you are entitled to the special Challenge #32 DT Delight Badge. To claim both your digi and the badge (or just one or the other), send your requests to popwinners {at} gmail {dot} com (be sure to replace at and dot with the appropriate symbols) or by clicking HERE to bring the address up in your email program, with the subject, "PoP#32--DT Delight Badge and/or Digi Request".   I'm always running rather behind these days, so your patience is appreciated.

Our special yearly prize package will also still be taking place.  Remember, if you are chosen as a DT Delight during any of our challenges, your name will be entered into a draw for some digital goodies.  You get one entry per choice; so, if two members picked your card, you will earn 2 entries, three members 3 entries, etc.  The winner at the time will be notified by email.   The next draw will occur sometime in the summer of 2016.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope to see you all tomorrow on January 4th, when we will be back with the start of Challenge #34.  We hope that you will join us then to learn what the newest theme will be.

See you again soon!
