It is the first Monday in February and that means it is time for the
next challenge to start. Before we do though, I have some sad news to share. Unfortunately, one of our Design Team, DesÃre, has to leave us unexpectedly. I'm afraid that life had the nerve to interfere with her crafting time. DesÃre has been by my side since the start of this challenge, just three months shy of three years! In fact she was one of 11 people that I consulted before embarking on this adventure. As such, she will always be considered an Honourary DT Member, here in spirit if not body, along with four others who were with me from the start who also had to leave (Lisa M., Naomi, Ike and Vicky). I hope that you will join me in wishing DesÃre all the best as she moves forward in a new direction.
Now back to the challenge. This time around, for
Challenge #35 the theme is
"DESIRE". Show us your interpretation of what desire means to
you.
You can make any sort of project and/or post as long as it is positive
in nature and relates to the theme.
Ah...desire! Such a rich word filled with so many possible meanings. Of course, romantic love is the obvious meaning that most people first think about but other definitions of desire include simply a strong feeling of wanting to have something or wishing for something to happen. For example, think about what you desire most, wish big, add in some hard work and all your dreams may come true. What kinds of things do you desire? Is it someone special or is it a closet full of shoes?! Do you desire to travel and see the world or do you have a desire to explore the past? Maybe your desires are for something a bit more meaningful such as a desire to have someone battling illness to continue to fight for their life? Or perhaps you simply wish to make more out of life with the time that you have. There are so many different avenues you
could take. As usual my team, has come up with some interesting ideas so
be sure to pop over to their blogs and see how their creations connect
with the concept of this challenge. Whatever approach you take, we look
forward to seeing your
interpretation on this month's theme.
Don't forget when you link up your project and/or post, to please
leave a
comment letting us know how your creation relates to the concept of desire if it isn't readily clear within the design itself or
clearly
written somewhere else in your post. Remember, the creation must be
positive/inspirational/motivational
AND adhere to the theme of desire in order to be considered eligible for this month's prizes. While you
may easily see how desire relates to your creation, it may not be as
apparent to me or the DT members.
That is why we ask that you
clarify
it somewhere, whether here or in your blogpost. You can simply write a
sentence at the bottom of your post next to the link up for this
challenge, if it would be easier. We just need to know how your project
ties into the theme. Letting us know, clears up
any ambiguity that may exist.
This month's guest sponsors...
This month we have two returning sponsors!

Scribbles Designs. Here is a refresher of
what Sandy's company is all about...
Looking for a unique image or sentiment?
Well then! Head on over to Scribbles Designs and check out Sandy's world
of her funky imagination and quirky characters. Sandy has loved art,
drawing, water colouring and doodling for many years... and with the
digital image world she can now share it with all of you. Brrr (Penguin)

Next, that brings us to
Ike's Art. Here is a refresher of what Ike's company is all about...

Hi there – I am Ike……a nickname that I
got hooked with many years ago due to my surname, and in my profession
at that time, …… they just loved to give nicknames ☺.
I live in Greece and have a passion for kitties ☺
I
am a complete nutter or should I say I’m ‘zany’ hahaha. I have a very
strange/sick sense of humour and I must admit I spend a lot of time
talking to myself. !! Well, I get more sense out of me.! I reckon in a
few years I shall be known as the “crazy cat lady” ☺
I am an
artist and have a strange mind when it comes to creating my art. I
either go completely true to life… right down to the last hair… or I go
totally surreal. I have a passion for all things horror/Gothic etc.
I’ve always loved horror films and books and I guess that’s why it
creeps into my stuff ! Had I been a bit younger I swear I would have
been a Goth……luuuuuv it. Next time around I am gonna be a witch or a
cat ☺
I started my Blog a couple of years ago and although I love
crafting, my real passion is drawing, and now I just love making
digital images.

We are very pleased to have Helen N., from
Crafting Helen, as our guest designer for this challenge...
My name is Helen
and I live in a small town called West Kirby which is in the north west
of Britain - the nearest big city to us is Liverpool. I work for an
organisation called The Abbeyfield Society which is a world-wide charity
providing care for older people. I'm an Activities Coordinator and I
work in a care home and two sheltered houses providing activities for
the residents. We craft, play dominoes, do crosswords and do chair
exercises as well as enjoying music and films together. I've been
making cards for many years and love stamping, working with digi stamps
and colouring with Promarkers.
Check out the pretty card she created....
My fabulous guests and amazing design team never
disappoint! They each have their own unique styles and ideas. As
always I am blown away by the
quality of their projects! Each of these projects has showcased the
concept of desire in various forms and manners and I hope we have
inspired
you. Be sure to go and visit each of them so you can see how their
projects connect to the theme.
So
what are you waiting for? Create a project and/or post that is
positive AND relates to
desire, provide an explanation of how your
