Obsidian One

Obsidian One A unique black metal album with strong Orthodox Christian musical influence, featuring monk chants woven into the compositions. Patriarkh has released a number of albums since then, and I've checked them out, but it's the debut that does it for me. Powerful metal with a strong spiritual atmosphere. The live shows I've seen on YouTube are different as well. Favorite passages: 'Yekteniya 1' at 1:45, 'Yekteniya 3' at 1:33, 'Yekteniya 5' at 0:59, 'Yekteniya 8' at 2:10. Favorite track: Yekteniya 8.

kaw1392 An album that I heard all too late, but one that has massively shaped my recent music taste, and with the bands split, it has opened me up to two amazing bands in the last year. Big fan of all of Patriakh's work, and Batushka aswell, but this is still the best album of the bunch, where it all started! Favorite track: Yekteniya 1.
