80 reactions · 5 comments | Mini full buttercream rose cupcakes 💞 This is a great way to pipe roses on your minis that won’t be super top heavy but are still bloomed and beautiful. The secret is starting with a small base. 🩷 to start, I pipe just enough buttercream on my flower nail to pipe around and create a circle. That first little blob gives something for your tip to hold onto. 🩷 pipe your first petal so that it slightly overlaps the circle in the center. Then pipe, a second petal that overlaps the first. I pipe these first two petals away from my body. 🩷 I piped the remaining petals towards my body. Like I stay on the screen, I pipe each new row of petals slightly higher than the previous one. If you go too high or flair out too far, your petals won’t be stable. 🩷 as I start to pipe my last couple of rows of petals outward and down, I add buttercream around the bottom of the flower so that there’s sufficient buttercream for those petals to hang onto. Otherwise, they’ll flop over. Buttercream sticks to buttercream, so if your petals aren’t staying up, there’s probably not enough buttercream under or around them for support. 🩷 once you transfer your rose to your cupcake, it will be a little unstable, so you can add more petals to cover the entire cupcake like I do, or pipe some leaves with tip 352 which would also be beautiful If you enjoyed this or learned something new, let me know! 🙏🏻 Sending lots of love to you today! #ButtercreamRoses #RoseCupcakes #flowercupcakes #PipingFlowers #Frosting #EdibleArt #CakeDecorating #ButtercreamFlowers | 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐁𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐬 | Facebook

I think it turned out pretty well, but you do need a pretty big tip for these. 127 at the smallest 🤩 I don’t always pipe flowers directly on cupcakes, but when I do, I to use a flower nail (when practical) to help with technique. I freeze my cupcakes after baking to lock in moisture and keep them in the freezer until it’s time to decorate. When the cupcake’s frozen, it comes cleanly off the buttercream on the nail most of the time. Careful if you try this method though! My cupcakes have fallen off on occasion.. But you learn quickly how to prevent that from happening lol I used tip 127 for the petals and tuned/adjusted the wider opening thinly with pliers. Touch the screen to pause for a better look. I always look at my first row as a base and perfect the shape of my petals on the top rows. I added four dots for the stamen with tip 4 and leaves with 352. You can see how I color my bag in my mini blossom cupcake tutorial. have a happy Thursday! And if and if you enjoyed this or learned something new, please let me know 🙏🏻💞 #FlowerCupcakes #CupcakeDecorating #ButtercreamBlossoms #ButtercreamFlowers #EdibleArt #Baking #Frosting #Satisfying | 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐁𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐬 | Facebook

To recap, the tips I used are 103, 199 and 1 or 2 for the stamen. Pro tip : When you pipe your ruffled circle, make sure the bottom of the tip is gently touching the cupcake and the top is tilted up slightly as you pipe. This will help give your petals a little bit more lift. I hope you enjoyed this. Let me know if you do! And feel free to send any questions my way. Have a great day you guys! 🙏🏻🫶 #MiniCupcakes #ButtercreamCupcakes #FlowerCupcakes #PipingVideo #CupcakeDecorating #PipingFlowers #Scabiosa #FlowerCake | 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐁𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐬 | Facebook

3.2K reactions · 110 shares | COCONUT CUPCAKES 🥥I’ve been craving these ever since I finished @inagarten’s memoir (highly recommend!!). I baked my favorite coconut layer cake as cupcakes and they turned out so moist + fluffy with just the right amount of coconut flavor. Top them with coconut buttercream and shredded coconut if you’re all in (you won’t regret it!) Full recipe w/ frosting is linked in my bio or at sugarandsparrow.com/coconut-cupcakes-recipe COCONUT CUPCAKES YIELD: 15 Cupcakes 1 1/2 Cups (158g) sifted cake flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 Cup (113g) unsalted butter, room temperature 3/4 Cup (150g) granulated sugar 2 large egg whites, room temperature 1 tsp pure vanilla extract 1/2 tsp coconut extract 3 Tbsp (45g) sour cream, room temperature 1/2 Cup (120ml) canned full-fat coconut milk, room temperature 1/2 Cup (39g) sweetened shredded coconut INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177ºC) and line a cupcake pan with liners. 2. Whisk together the sifted cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. 3. In the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment (or with a hand mixer and large bowl), beat the butter on high until creamy, 2 min. Add the sugar and beat on medium-high until light and fluffy, about 2 min. Turn the mixer to low and add the egg whites one at a time. Mix until well combined. Add the vanilla, coconut extract, and sour cream, then mix for 1 minute on high. 4. Add the dry ingredients all at once and mix on low until just combined, then continue mixing while you add the canned coconut milk. Mix until smooth, then gently fold in the shredded coconut with a rubber spatula. 5. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cupcake tins and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
