Progress on the Japanese Gate for Geneva

The work on the Japanese Gate for Geneva continues. Today I fit all the Ceramic Kawara tiles to the roof structure. A lot of the tiles are eventually fixed with copper wire to keep them in place. It involves some thinking on how and where to attach the tiles, but it is also good practice. I like to build my structures fully and then take them apart again to rebuild them on location. This ensures every single part fits, and there will be minimal space for error. The weight will be around 400 Kg!
