GAMBELLA, Ethiopia, 16 July (UNHCR) – UN envoy Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of the ruler of Dubai, appealed for international aid to counter the suffering she found when visiting refugees in western Ethiopia, which now hosts 170,000 South Sudanese who have fled their homeland since December. The conflict and worsening humanitarian situation inside South Sudan is fuelling a refugee exodus into neighbouring countries. Those arriving in Ethiopia have been largely women and children.
